White Wednesday

Today was cleaning day.
Top to bottom cleaning.
Dusting.
Moping.
Scrubbing.
Washing.

and all the boring "ings" you can imagine.

Until I came across the empty bird nest my Husband found yesterday in the side yard.

So simple,
so small,
so perfect...

just like the other 2 I already had....

The sweet new addition was the perfect excuse
for a much needed break and a little camera fun...

It was Tuesday after all and I needed my White Wednesday post!

And just like that my entryway got a new vignette...
who could've thought that housework could be so inspiring????

"My second favorite household chore is ironing.
My first being hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint"

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets a little distracted while housecleaning, and starts doing a little decorating instead! You've inspired me to get the three nests that I've found out of the garage and display them!
Happy WW!

Sweet nest! I save my dryer lint and put in the field next door for the birds to collect for using to construct their nests - they seem to love it!

I too have collected many nests that have fallen out of our bushes. Yesterday while I was out weeding I happened upon a humming bird. It was the neatest thing, it was gathering spider webbing to make it's nest. I have only seen their nests in pictures, but can you imagine that. I just thought I would share my story with you. Have a great day.

So cute and perfect. I find them in my yard too - most are lined with white hair from my German shepherd that sheds like crazy. That reminds me, I need to start cleaning house too:)

I have to say that your "instant" vignette is pretty sassy and I'm liking it!! I too hate all the "ing's" that have to be done from time to time. I still have cake frosting lying around the house here and there from Morgan's b-day party!!

Take care, Sue
