This wonderful metal piece followed me home after a very short trip
to the local Salvation army...
to the local Salvation army...
Very hard to resist, I must admit!
But I'm not keeping it because...
I'm moving in a year, and stuff needs to go out of this house, not in!

But it looked so nice that I thought:
I could at least enjoy it for a few minutes,
take some pictures,
share it with my White Wednesday Gals
and later, like a good girl, put it back in the truck

Wonderful blog! I will be looking in often!
Hey, you could have driven it to my house. I love it.....your groupings on it are so well done also.
I would never have been able to part with such a piece...you are a strong, brave woman.
Enjoy, Dana
Ah but at least you get to enjoy it for awhile! Nice to have a shop so you can still buy stuff and enjoy then find it a new home!!
No matter how long you keep it, I'm sure you'll be enjoying it alot, because it's just gorgeous! I love everything on it too!
Happy White Wednesday!
Carol
Yup, it must have been very difficult to part with it, it's so perfect there.
Your metal shelving unit is beautiful. I don't think I could have given it up...moving or not. lol.
Happy WW!
Blessings~
Such a charming piece....
You really lucked out finding this...
Have fun playing with it and moving it around the house!

Sweet Up-North Mornigs...
What a great buy, che fortuna! Ciao Rita
Oh great Marcela! It was fun drooling over the piece because it was in YOUR house. Now you make the decision to "tempt" ALL of your Country Roads family into buying it? Shame on you ;0}
Take care, Sue
I really love your wire shelf! It would be so hard to part with! Great find!
White and rusty....LOVE IT!!!!

Take a shortcut through Ohio & drop that treasure off! How lucky to find that?!! Rusted and everything?!! It's just not fair :)
YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! Looks terrific here--Jacqueline
That is beautiful. Too bad you can't keep it!
Oh, I do envy you and your shop. How much fun that would be. Love your shelving. It is wonderful!

What a great find and I'm so proud of you. I am having such a hard time getting rid of some things lately, even though I don't have any room for them. It's got to be a disease!
Kathleen
Ooh yes, Mr. Twain is correct!
It's a beautiful piece, bet it doesn't last long in the store, someone very lucky will drive it home!
Oh, wow...I don't know that I could be so disciplined to take that away from home!!! I'm impressed! And if I lived closer, I know where I'd be headed tomorrow and what I'd be buying!!! Love the rust with the white! Aged to perfection!
Happy White Wednesday!
Lori

I love the bakers rack and the vignette you've created...especially that giant starfish! So pretty!
So kind of you to share with others LOL
It is an amazing find especially from the "army" we never get goods like that at ours.
Amy

i am not sure i would have been able to part with that...it really looks perfect along that wall...well, you got to enjoy it for a little while...and so did we:)
What a great piece - useful either indoors or out. It could be awesome in a bathroom with towels rolled up and stacked or outside with plants - nice find!

Hello :) That metal shelf is so shabbilicious and tres chic!!
Discovered you lovely blog while "blog hopping", and so glad that I did :) I've signed up as your newest follower, and I hope you will stop by mine for a visit sometime :) I currently have 2 giveaways going on, and both end on June 18th. Hope to see you :)
Warmest, Brenda
I am really excited about your "moving next year" .. there are rusty white things here too ! lol...
I did something yesterday, taking a very large grand gold frame and sanded the hell out of it... making it look as beaten up and used as I could... thinking of you all the time :)
chau, bella!
I love it! I just wish I found it at the salvation army! Lovely!
Lovely pictures!! Understand why that one is hard to resist;) You gave me a laugh with the Mark Twain- quote, thank you for that! :D

What a gorgeous piece! I love that it's all rusty looking. I think you will have a lot of fun changing out the displays on it. Think of all the fun holiday things you could change out. Hmmmm, I think I'm a little jealous. :)
Just the right amount of rust and chippyness for all of us to fall in love with! Theresa
What a super find! I have really good luck at our local Salvation Army too! But nothing as neat as your shelf!
I'm glad you enjoyed its short visit to your home :-)
Hugs and Smiles,
Lynn
yum. i am moving in a year too, but does that slow down my junk in/junk out progress.....yikes!!! you have discipline. that piece is AWESOME. very sweet. i love it.
good luck downsizing.
take care
sue
What a great piece! I'm sure it'll sell right away in the shop. I know sometimes it's hard to let things go, but that's the nature of dealing antiques...you just can't keep everything! I'll be moving in a couple of months....not looking forward to it at all...AHHHHH!
Blessings,
Susie
LOVE that perfectly shabby, rusty piece. It looks wonderful in your home, Marcela. How you can part with it, I just don't know. I guess your mind is already moving into "moving" mode...
Oooooohh, you're a brave girl, I'm not that strong, the shelves would have stayed with me. Your photos are always just wonderful. Hope you have a great weekend!
xo,
Debra
