White Wednesday

This wonderful metal piece followed me home after a very short trip
to the local Salvation army...

Rusty and weathered to perfection...

Lovely details....

Perfect for my wall...

Very hard to resist, I must admit!
But I'm not keeping it because...

I'm moving in a year, and stuff needs to go out of this house, not in!

But it looked so nice that I thought:
I could at least enjoy it for a few minutes,
take some pictures,
share it with my White Wednesday Gals
and later, like a good girl, put it back in the truck
and drive it to Country Roads...

It wasn't easy,
but I did it!

"There is a charm about the forbidden that makes it unspeakably desirable"
~Mark Twain~

Now...isn't that the true, Mark!

UPDATE:
SOLD!

Oh great Marcela! It was fun drooling over the piece because it was in YOUR house. Now you make the decision to "tempt" ALL of your Country Roads family into buying it? Shame on you ;0}

Take care, Sue

What a great find and I'm so proud of you. I am having such a hard time getting rid of some things lately, even though I don't have any room for them. It's got to be a disease!

I am really excited about your "moving next year" .. there are rusty white things here too ! lol...
I did something yesterday, taking a very large grand gold frame and sanded the hell out of it... making it look as beaten up and used as I could... thinking of you all the time :)

What a gorgeous piece! I love that it's all rusty looking. I think you will have a lot of fun changing out the displays on it. Think of all the fun holiday things you could change out. Hmmmm, I think I'm a little jealous. :)

What a great piece! I'm sure it'll sell right away in the shop. I know sometimes it's hard to let things go, but that's the nature of dealing antiques...you just can't keep everything! I'll be moving in a couple of months....not looking forward to it at all...AHHHHH!

Blessings,
Susie
