White Wednesday

The bad weather and the chilly nights we've been having
have kept me from working with anything summery or beachy...

Surprisingly, even though is July already, I found inspiration in a sweater...

A $1.00 Salvation Army sweater.

The sleeves gave my little lampshades a whole new look...

The bottom, was used to cover a tomatoes can...

Burlap, stamps...
Pencil holder, anyone?

All of this with a $1.00 sweater and I still have the front and the back to work with!

I would love to know how to knit but until I learn how to,
I just cheat!!!

Thank you Kathleen for hosting White Wednesday!!!

How creative! That lampshade is downright adorable. I've thought that I would like to make some pillows out of old cable knit sweaters, but I don't know how to keep it from unraveling after I cut it. Would I machine stitch back and forth a few times? Any advice would be appreciated!
Happy WW!

And what an awesome cheater you are. I do not believe you could buy yarn any cheaper than the price of the sweater. Happy WW! ♦olive

I love using sweaters for projects! I used to knit, but why would I want to do that anymore? I love these--especially the lampshade!

How fun and beautiful they look. To think I picked up a cable sweater at a thrift shop for a couple of dollars and then put it back down unclear how I would upcycle it. Yours is great and I can't wait to see what you do with the other half.
