Junkin' Monday #8

Not a lot of junkin' goodness this week...
On Friday there was only one Estate Sale in our area and they had nothing worth bringing home...
A short drive to an antiques store we visit from time to time,
a run into a Dealer we always buy from,
a "Can you use some bottles?"
and a "Can you do better on the price???"
and we walked away with some...

The ones already altered are the ones we showed last Monday.

Back to the car....
Let's stop at the Salvation Army...
Clara (aka Ms. Luck) is not with me now so I'm not holding my breath, I never find anything at a reasonable price here!...
$3.00 later, I got a new cloche...
Well, better than nothing!

My last chance for some junkin'...
my own garage.
Hey, a girl needs her fix!!!

Look what I found! A vintage, metal tool box (heavy!!)...

Bought it some time ago for $15.00...but never really used it...
All those cute drawers...

Up we go, to the working table.
Now I have a new place to keep my papers, photographs and all kind of findings for my altered pieces.

I know, I know...
there is something seriously wrong when a person junks in her own garage...but I don't care...
My box is happy to be "working" again (she told me so!)...and that's all it matters!

How did you do this week?
Did you score big?
Oh come on, show us...

In my mind the purpose is to....repurpose so you accomplished the job AND have one less thing in your garage! What's not to love?

It was such a busy weekend, there was no time for junking, but I had to take today off of work becuase it's a ped day for my daughters, so guess where I will be right when the doors open at 10:00? My favourite place, the Salvation Army Store - junking for "Junkin' Monday"!!! I can't let you guys down :)

Great finds..even if you have to shop in your own stash! I do it all the time. If you have limited space, sometimes you just have to rotate things out. Love the cloche, you can never have enough of them! Come by for a visit sometime~~

I like the cloche....I need to find me one of those. I do all my work out in the garage, but I'm dreading the coming months cause hubby thinks he needs to park in there. Something about hating to scrape the snow and ice off the car? *sheesh*

I really like your tool box. I would have bought that out of your garage too! Ha-I had to junk in my garage also since no chance to junk this weekend.

I think "selling" is just as tough as "finding" these days. Yesterday, a guy walks up to the counter in my store. He leans over with a big, old vintage gas sign that was priced at $425. It was a great sign, the kind you don't see anymore. He looks at the price tag, he looks at me, and says one word, "half"? I politely replied with one word as well, "no". The junkin world, always an adventure!

You gotta find your treasures where ever you can! I love your little glass bottles. I have a collection in my kitchen windowsill that I use for flowers.

Have a wonderful day.
Warmly, Debbie

I really like the bottles. I think I will do some for my studio. That cabnet is to DIE 4... all the scraps of paper it can hold...I love to open cupboards in my garage to see what little treasure are hiding out.

Joy.........always

I junked a window I bought years ago and stashed in my cellar for later. I didn't have the time or money to go shop, so my own devices will have to do. I broke out the broken glass, cleaned the good glass, and got it all ready to hang.....CRAP! It doesn't fit right where I wanted it. Now I am so sad...it was going to hide an ugly flu cover, but I can't hang it like I thought.
So sad.....

Anyone have ideas for flu covers that are fairly high in an oldold house????

Love the vintage metal tool box. My husband brought a huge one home used for architects. I've gotta paint that and bring it up to my studio.

Love the bottles ladies. As always, love your style.
