Folders...

As some of you already know,
I'm moving next year.

Not only to a new home,
but to a new city.
Well.... actually,
to a new "old" country.

My family and I are moving to Argentina in July.

Big ...huge move that involves lotst of:
Do we take it?
Do we leave it?
Do we want it?
Do we need it?

The list of things to move with us will change numerous times on the months to come,
but some things like my magazines, need my attention right away.
My baskets,

boxes...

and piles...

are being tackled,
analyzed,
categorized,
transformed
and
reduced (the magic word!).

While watching HGTV,
I sit on my rocking chair...
(shhh she will not be making the trip, but doesn't know it yet!)
and go thru them all...
cut
save
discard

so far I have a
Recycling Ideas Folder...

a Cool Crafts Folder....

An Inspiration Folder...

and a Fave Quotes Folder...

I also have a
"They are crazy folder".

That's where I keep people's thoughts about our move...
and it's already full.

Are both of you girls moving or just one family? Ohhhhhhhh, are you excited?

Sooo much to do!! We will be moving to the coast after our house sells and I am so excited because Lisa and I will be right across the street from each other and I see lots of trotting back and forth in jammies with coffee in hand!!

Love,
LuLu~*xoxo

I had baskets like yours, full of all my favorite magazines.. much of them the same as yours also!
I brought a few Bon Appetit and Gourmet mags with my cookbooks ( which I also whittled down ) but I will tell you this now- in hindsight.. I wish I had brought them all with me.
So if you really love them and can manage to bring them, bring as many as you can.

That will be a BIG move !! Glad I am not the only one with a magazine addiction , at least you are doing something about it ! A lot of mine just go to the thrift store because I am too lazy to go through them all ! Looks like you are doing a fabulous job ! I will have to take lessons !

I came to Kuwait nearly 16 years ago with only a trunk full of clothes, thinking I would only be here a couple of years. Ha! Now I have so much stuff, I don't know what to do with it all. Argentina has got to be better than this country. My friends, hobbies and frame of mind are what keep me going. Great idea for the folders. There will always be naysayers. :) Best wishes, Tammy

I do the same thing with my magazines. I can't just throw them away without pulling out inspiration pictures.

You must be really excited about this move. I wish you the best of luck. Hugs, Sherry

When we moved to the coast I had a very hard time letting go of my magazines and I still miss them to this day. I vowed that if we move again, I will not give up one single magazine.

Best wishes on your move.

Take care, Sue

Reduce...that is such a tough word! Looks like you are off to a good start!

What a big move! It must be beautiful there. I, too, have zillions of magazines I've saved for so many years. I try to go thru them and "reduce" but it's so hard! I'd take as many as I can if I were you but you seem to be much more organized than I am and that will definitely help with your move. Will your sister be moving as well?

Have a great week!

Blessings,
Missy
