Yesterday it took me a little while to make something.
I didn't want to paint because I was having a Good Hair Day...
(in case this doesn't make sense to you, let me explain that every time I paint, I end up with paint on my hair!!)
I couldn't sew...
my machine was acting up and I just couldn't figure it out.
But I really wanted to make something!
Reached for papers, scissors, glitter and came up with these...

Completely beautiful!! and look how quickly you found a purpose for them. The cream and brown one is gorgeous on that plate!!
As long as stuff makes us happy, why not go for it! Or at least that is the way I feel, and I'm kind of fond of useless stuff that makes me happy!
Take care, Sue
Where does it say art has to be functional? Sometimes we just like to make beautiful pieces of eye candy for the sheer enjoyment of it. I bet you had a lot of fun making them too! And you know what? You put a smile on my face so if you needed a "reason" to do it, there you have it! You made someone smile today!

Marcela! you are way to artistic, clever and cool for your own good! I love these they are awesome. Enjoy the rest of this week my friend :)

Very cool. I think they'd be a great addition to a package or bag and could even be used for the card. So creative!

You are so right they are so usless...I just can't see them just cluttering up your house...send them to me and then no worry....oh darn you found way to cute ways to use them....I want to know what type of clever pills you are on so I can start on them tomorrow!!!
Joy............all ways
Sounds like they aren't so "useless" after all!!!
Rita
They are beautiful and I want to make some, too! Thanks for the inspiration. Love your blog!
I really like what you have made, so pretty. You are very creative!

I kinda like the idea of the only function in life is Just Being. Which might be a function, you know.. Being.
Non-being would probably be less of a function ...
LOL
besos. C
wow, these are really wonderful. I love how you casually say "I came up with these" as if it is nothing! Some of us would kill for that imagination, skill, etc. Gorgeous and I can think of ten things I would do with these!
If it makes you happy than stick with it! They look great.
They are so pretty!I think that's the ONLY reason you ever need!
those are totally adorable!!! if looking at them makes you happy, then that is reason enough to make them indeed...they make me happy too:)
what other reason do you need?
They are so beautiful just being,
Amy
Totally useless and absolutely gorgeous!!!
I am looking to make a welcome home sash (as in Miss America)for the mannequin in my daughters bedroom, she'll be home from college soon. These are perfect for where the ribbon meets at the side! Thanks for the inspiration, I'm a new follower!

I love the medallions you made - they're wonderful!
Sometimes - just being is a totally cool thing - but these would be so pretty anywhere - on a gift, hung as you have them, on top of a book, on the corner of a picture frame, as a tie back, on a doorknob. Love them, Jennifer stop in jennsthreegraces
Don't stop...they are beautiful!

hope you have a great weekend...and be blessed with many more good hair days!

You are always making fun and fabulous things so sometimes a little fun and frivilous is called for. But these little treasures can be used in so many wonderful ways! And you've already showcased them in such a lovely way. Best wishes for a most wonderful weekend. :) Tammy

So beautiful! I always get inspired by any flower designs! Lovely! Suzie
Well, there has been lots of conversation about your wonderful "useless" creations. See how they brought us all together? That's what it's all about! I even enjoyed all the comments.
Hola Marcela,
Cada vez que te visito en cualquiera de tus casitas me enamoro perdidamente de algo... Tienes algún tutorial de estas "just being" preciosidades? Puedo imaginar más o menos algo pero... cómo haces el plisado en redondo?
Te agradeceré mucho tu ayuda!

éstos trabajos me fascinan!!
I would love to have an entire garland of these. So whimsical!
I absolutely love them, and some of the best things have no other use but to make someone smile. Those are the most wonderful creations. Yours have made me smile, and I would like to make a few as well, and just hang them everywhere.
Thank you for sharing.
Happy Paperie Fun!
