The January issue of Romantic Homes brought us a surprise...
My home was featured!What it was supposed to be a Sister's article, was divided in 2 different issues so now we'll have 2 special magazines on our coffee table because Clara's home will be featured in a couple of months!!
Jacqueline, the Editor and Mark, the photographer, were just great and made us feel at ease right away...The very casual interview was done by Jickie Torres and I love the way she kept it simple and so unpretentious...
I like the fact that she wrote the truth, (although she was a little skeptical): when my Husband and I first started, we were broke and many things that we still enjoy, came from the curbside....
Sorry for the bad scan quality...those weird stripes on the wall are not really there, the wall is solid sunny yellow...
Weird stripes...again...
We were very fluttered when they decided to feature our home, but the real compliment was when they didn't change or add anything before photographing it!
I must say that of all the pictures they took (more in the magazine) my favorite is this one:
They used it on the first page, the page of "Contents"My simple rolls of vintage music inside my re purposed tomatoes can...Simplicity at its best!

Marcela I finally found the Jan. issue with the pictures of your beautiful home and loved Jickie's text. I remember so well the story of C cautioning her friends before they came into the house. I'll bet she hasn't done that since and now has her own RH copy to proudly show off to her friends.
