Junkin' Monday #8

Not a lot of junkin' goodness this week...
On Friday there was only one Estate Sale in our area and they had nothing worth bringing home...
A short drive to an antiques store we visit from time to time,
a run into a Dealer we always buy from,
a "Can you use some bottles?"
and a "Can you do better on the price???"
and we walked away with some...

The ones already altered are the ones we showed last Monday.

Back to the car....
Let's stop at the Salvation Army...
Clara (aka Ms. Luck) is not with me now so I'm not holding my breath, I never find anything at a reasonable price here!...
$3.00 later, I got a new cloche...
Well, better than nothing!

My last chance for some junkin'...
my own garage.
Hey, a girl needs her fix!!!

Look what I found! A vintage, metal tool box (heavy!!)...

Bought it some time ago for $15.00...but never really used it...
All those cute drawers...

Up we go, to the working table.
Now I have a new place to keep my papers, photographs and all kind of findings for my altered pieces.

I know, I know...
there is something seriously wrong when a person junks in her own garage...but I don't care...
My box is happy to be "working" again (she told me so!)...and that's all it matters!

A bright sunny day is always welcomed to my work table.

Not only because it energizes and inspires me but also because of the wonderful shadows it allows me to capture...

Our hand knitted scarf has a new owner...

She is cute, shy and loves vintage chippy furniture....

Sometimes she writes from the city....

Sometimes she shares her farm life with us...

She adores books, vintage slips, Paris and white organic chocolate...

She inspired us to move Montreal up in our list of "Must Visit" places...

And that is exactly where our scarf will be traveling...all the way to Canada...

White Wednesday

Yes Ladies, it's hard to believe but it's already Wednesday...time to show some whites!

Today is all about white pottery...

From collectible McCoy to unmarked beauties, Clara loves them all!

The only requirement: it has to be white!

Inside the china cabinet...

and on top of it...

Holding succulents in Spring,

and pumpkins during Fall...

Clara's collection is always growing because she rarely leaves a Flea Market without first adopting a "new" piece.

Now you know one more thing that makes my Sissy's heart skip a beat!
