Junkin' Monday #7

These two mommas had a very busy weekend. Lots of driving to tests, volunteer commitments, Homecoming game and Dance, plus a very early morning spent at the wet and cold soccer field. So the Junkin' Gods rewarded us with a short but always inspiring trip to one of our favorite antiquing spots, Country Roads in Orange, CA where we were able to find some "Need" and some "Want" pieces...

The Needs are:
A coffee table that we will use in the Family Room Makeover we are working on...
Great lines, perfect size, not too deep just like we needed it...

Not the best picture, garage lighting not cooperating!
It will be painted and lightly distressed to show the yellow paint underneath...

The second Need:

Some vintage bottles soon to be altered and delivered to The Cottage in Laguna Beach...
Love making these!

Now the Wants:

A large, vintage Open sign.
I bought it with my kitchen in mind, but I think it will be living in our family room. Love the bold letters, the chippy paint of course and the black trim...

And the last Want is this cute adorable pair of shoes for Clara's collection...

As you know, she has LOTS of them, but this is the first pair with "platforms"...CUTE!!!

Junkin' Monday #6

What a week end we had! as you know, we spent our Friday in Temecula at La Maison Rustique. Fun, fun, fun!!!

The weather was wonderful and the company perfect, what else can we ask for?
Treasures!...and treasures we found...
Circa 1920's round mirror ...goldish frame with killer details....

Oh so chic weathered metal tulips with the perfect finish and patina...How cool will these be in a centerpiece or a french and decadent vignette?...
Already for sale at $6.00 each...

Vintage silverware...

Adorable top slip, vintage, with lace... dreamy soft pink, mint condition...dying for a vintage rhinestone pin and a night out in the town...
We are offering it at $10.00 plus shipping

Irresistible old door with original paint and hardware...Clara is keeping this one! we will show you its new home as soon as she displays it...

I couldn't come home empty handed so I grabbed some supplies to help me fulfill my orders of altered books...

Vintage flash cards...mini dominoes pieces...handwritten pages...watch faces...and tons of vintage books!

We also took home something priceless: Inspiration!...
don't you come back home after a show with 1,000,000 ideas...we sure do!!!

Junkin' Monday #5

Welcome!!

It's hard to get out of the house early in the morning...but I'm so glad that Sister Extraordinaire insists on hitting the Estates Sales as early as possible.

One quick drive, 2 sales, plenty of goodies!!...

Vintage jewelry...lately, we can't have enough of these pretties....
Can you see the sweet blush color material and fab lace on the bottom?... A vintage slip too cute for words!

A lovely cup....

Just a peek at a vintage purse with the finest embroidery work and some vintage trim so beautiful that we don't dare to use in any project...we will let someone else enjoy the whole piece...that's love!

Vintage monogrammed pillow case...
An urn with the best rusty patina ever!...

And that metal aqua thingy...we had to have it! even when we are not sure what it is...

Our guess is a vintage rubber stamp holder...

Shabby-ed to perfection!!!

And talking about shabby, rusty and patina...how about this wonderful metal stand?
It was used as a plant stand, but we can imagine it indoors holding from pumpkins to statuary pieces...

And to top it all off, a glass cloche.
Can you say "cute vignette"?

We found a lot more and we will be showing it later this week when we blog about the next SALE.
