Procrastination...

Sometimes I just feel
like kicking my own butt...
but then I realize that
that will take some dangerous moves
that I'm not willing to try anymore...

The point is that it took me
6 years to work on this...

6 years!!!

I finally got my act together,
got to work
and only....

it was finished... and ready to be taken to Country Roads.

4 Hours!!!
How many of these could I have made in 6 years???
Too many to count...
Enough to depress me even more!

"A year from now you may wish you had started today"

~Karen Lamb~

I wish I would have read this quote before!!!!

HAPPY WHITE WEDNESDAY, GIRLS!

I kind of feel like you can never MAKE yourself "create" until the time is right. So, you were just a tad slower creating this project than maybe others might have been! Put now you did it, and it looks great!!

Take care, Sue

This is a super fun piece! Just love it! Do some more! I think they will sell as fast as you can do them.

The time you spent not making this was spent making other wonderful things.

We cannot do it all and all at the same time...we're lucky if we do a few things some of the time. : D

It's great!

Hey-at least you got it done-most of us have projects waiting for us-the worst part is when you don't even know what you'll do with it!

It turned out great! Sometimes when I start a project I have to walk away and leave it because the inspiration just isn't there. When the time is right, inspiration comes.

Sometimes you just have to wait for that inspiring moment to hit!!! Love how it turned out...lucky you kept it around for that long...I get my husband to take things to the dump, THEN get an idea and regret the dump trip!

I'm sooo glad I'm not the only one!!! I have no explanation at all, but I have had plans for projects and for whatever reason they get buried and many others get done instead.
Don't you feel like a weight has been lifted? Don't beat yourself up...this is SO cute and I bet it just needed to wait for the perfect home!
Have a blessed week,
Missy

But just think how much fun you had the day that you made it!! STUNNING I say!! Do you brush on or spray on your chalkboard paint? I need to try this!

Reminds me of the wise words "there is a time and season for every thing" or something like that. We have a list here that streams into years and that's okay we just go with it. Your chalkboard door is very cute and functional. ♥O

Well it may have taken you 6 years to get on it, but in 4 hours you really came out with the goods girl!!! It will probably sell in minutes.
Oh goodness...I am the worlds queen of procratination.

I can so relate! And so can all
the projects waiting in my basement that have been there for years. It's that first step that seems to be the hardest. This turned our beautifully!

That is sooo cool! Don't feel bad....we ALL procrastinate, girl! lol! Sometimes life just gets in the way. But your door turned out great! I love your grain sack pillow on the chair, too. Since I'm grain-sack obsessed, where did you find it?? Happy WW!

LOVE it - just think of all the dough you could be rolling in from selling all of those "would be" chalkboards!

I really adore this one! I'm like you, I could kick myself for waiting so long to complete something that I visualize when it doesn't take all that long to do it and the results are so fabulous! Nice job ladies!

There's been plenty things I have procrastinated and procrastinated and procrastinated some more with.

At least you got round to it eventually (or that's what I tell myself!!).
