Personality disorder

My plan was to make one of those
wonderful paper wreaths I see here and there.

I ran into some "technical difficulties"
but didn't give up...

After a while I realized my wreath
wasn't going to happen as I had planned.
Too skinny.
Not full enough.

So my "wanna be wreath"
became sort of a
"confused star"

Too many rays for a star...
too few cones for a wreath...

After an hour I was over it!

I'll try again soon...

but first, I'll check out the
White Wednesday Girls,
they sure know how to make
a real Paper Wreath!

SOLD!

I like your "wanna be wreath". I think it would look super hanging on top of another wreath like a pine or grapevine wreath.

I would just add more cones to the very back if you are unhappy with it! It looks so pretty!

I think you have created a starburst and it would look gorgeous on top of a tree!

I think your star/wreath turned out great! I am probably one of the few remaining bloggers who has yet to make one! If you want to make it appear more substantial (though I love it as is!), you could make a giant paper medallion (or rosette, whichever they are called) for the backing. I saw one just recently in a magazine, can't remember which one. Anyway, they accordion folded 3 full size sheets of paper to make 3 giant fans. Then they glued them all together to make one giant medallion. I wish I could describe it better! But I think that would be perfect for your star/wreath!

I really like your version. You don't want one that looks exactly like everybody elses anyway. It is pretty! Happy WW.

it's a wreath on a diet! I too like it as it is..but if you don't ...

I agree with a couple other girls here. Make another fuller and place this one on top, or how about big accordion folded paper behind.

As dear DAD always quoted "We learn more from our mistakes than our successes." This may be the start of a fabulous new creation!

Happy WW!

Looks like a wreath to me. I do not craft at all and admire you bunches.

I tried my hand at making one too and it didn't turn out so good. They are harder to make than they appear! LOL.

I think yours looks good. Love how you did the center.

I agree - this would make a great tree topper! Get one of those paper mache cones at Michaels. Cover it in burlap and adhere this lovely star!

Your wanna be wreath looks nice to me. But after a glass of wine (or two) and a good night's rest, you could always just add more pages to the back if you didn't like the starburst. But I kinda like it as is.

Happy WW,
Judy

Hahahahaha ~ I love that! Its very refreshing to have someone say - "I tried it - I'm over it". It does look very nice though - I think Trash Talk is onto something and it may make a lovely tree topper.
