White Wednesday

For a few days my mind was
completely blank,
completely empty...

Tired of waiting
for Creativity e Inspiration to hit me,
I went out looking for them....

After several attempts
and lots of coffee and TV,

I started to see the light...

The fact that I didn't want to miss
another White Wednesday,
made me force myself to create something....
And I must admit,
I'm happy I did!!

How do YOU deal with the unexpected
lack of inspiration?
Do you wait for it to come back
or do you go out looking for it?
I'd love to know!

these are so lovely! I love the way you keep working it till it feels right! I find that if I don't keep working in my studio, my mojo goes on vacation! Somehow just working with my stuff keeps the inspiration going. A period of inactivity makes me feel that I'll never be creative again, that my best work is already behind me, blah, blah, blah!!

I love what you came up with-and I do know what you mean-I'm just not happy if I don't have something to work on or toward. I also go out looking at antique stores and hope that will keep me going, but blogging has helped a lot-I hope to use these boring winter months to try some new things when there is nothing else to do-blogging is so much better than magazinesd these days! Happy WW

Those are so pretty! I love all of the fabric and doodads you put together, really perfect! I find that the more I create the more ideas keep coming to me, one project leads to another to another! Theresa xoxo

Lovin' these pillows!! Dontcha just love when the inspiration bug bites you?! I've stayed up all night before because I just couldn't stop once I got on a roll. I just did that with some old bottles a couple weeks ago.
I was wondering what happened to you...you weren't supposed to be moving for a couple more months!
Blessings to you!

Awesome job, and much inspiration. I think inspiration just finds us. If its "not in us" on a certain day, especially if we need it to me, then I don't know how to find it. Maybe its one of those big mysteries of life!

Take care, Sue

You came thru like always.
I have to tell you the other day I stared at some styrofoam that came as packing material like I thought it was going to speak to me. Finally I came up with something. But man it was painful!

I just love these! To answer your question, I start to make a pile of my favorite materials on hand until an idea comes to me.

Yeah- they will do- LOL.
I wish my lack looked that good!
I look at other works- from all sources.
Sometimes you just need a break.
It will come faster if I don't push it.
I just sit down with a pile and start pushing it around until it looks right to me.
You did real good on these.

I'm going to have to try your formula of lots of coffee and tv next time I need to start creating! Espresso or regular?

I hope I can get inspired now that we are settled for a few months. I had lost my creative urge when we put the house of for sale. But I am dreaming for pretty things in our new house when it finally is finished.
Your pillow is gorgeous. I might steal your idea.

The pillows are beautiful! I love the combination of all the pieces that you used. What a great way to use some of the bits and pieces that we all seem to have stashed in our homes.
I've been working on a pillow this week...you've inspired me to go back and add a little more "something" to it.
When I'm lacking in inspiration I go looking for it....usually on blogs, magazines, and web sites.
Have a great day.

Marcela, I can't believe that your mind could ever be blank. You have a million and one ideas all the time, my friend, so it must have only been a split second :) I really like how you put everything together.

You are awesome Marcela. Thanks so much for your visit last week. I've been a bit under a "spell" and busy working and have not had time to stop by before now. I'm so glad I did. You are never without inspiration ~ just look at what you create!

You are fabulous!
