Seasons...

I seem to have trouble changing my seasonal decor.
My home has a summery look all year round,
whites,
pale blues
and hints of yellow here and there.

The occasional pumpkin is displayed for a few days
and
for about 3 weeks each year
the seashells around the house
share their space with the Christmas decorations,
but that is as far as I go.

I'm not a Fall person,
that means I have to dig down
in order to come up with some Fall decorations for my space at Country Roads.
This week will be dedicated to that, I promise....

Winter is an etching,
spring a watercolor,
summer an oil painting
and autumn a mosaic of them all.

How about white pumpkins lovey? I bought three real small white ones today and they are charming.

I so understand this! I decorate outside more than I do to change things inside. I will do the top of the entertainment center and the mantle in the kitchen, but the rest is done out doors.
I'm glad I'm not the only one!

I suppose it WOULD be a challenge...color and all, for you :) how about white & blue-ish green pumpkins instead of orange though??! Love your "Fall" font...you'll reach deep down inside of you and find that inner fall...we know it!!

I love the fall season very much but when it comes to decorating my home in traditional fall colors, I'm not that into it.
I like to keep it simple with a pumpkin or two outside, maybe a wreath and a few simple things inside.

I do love your little wooden box painted black and filled with fabric pumpkins.....very cute.

Okay, this is funny. I have just the opposite problem. My family room us painted Cavern clay (SW) a deep pumpkin tone. Try making that look summery, or like Christmas. I still love it though and fall is my absolute favorite time of year!

I like the new look, the black and white is always a great combination, and it makes the orange color pop.

For me summer is the season! Fall makes me a little sad because summer is so definitely over!
I hate winter! Snow is fun for one day and then I go back to groaning over the cold.

Could you please, please tell me how you painted the beautiful letters Fall on the wood?

Hugs,
Lisette

I guess it's hard to think fall and winter when you're living in sunny and warm California, Marcela, so I don't blame you. Here, the seasons change all of a sudden, so seasonal decorating is very therapeutic, kinda makes the thought of that long cold winter a little easier to bear :)
