It's about time...

We bought these two German metal mugs about 10 years ago...
We can still remember the sweet German lady that sold them to us at a San Clemente garage sale.

We always thought they were soooo cute...
obviously we are the only ones that see their cute side because they never sold!!!

Yep, 10 years later, they are still here....

Rita, a fellow dealer, once told us:
"Everything sells if you live long enough"
Let us add that Rita turned 80 a few years back...

We don't have Rita's patience...

...if they don't sell now after this quick makeover,
we are going to start thinking that they are meant to stay.

Will Rita be right or will we have new desk accessories??

Update:

Since writing this post, last Thursday, the mugs have SOLD!
Was it the number makeover that helped, or was it their "time to go"?...
We will never know!

I'm think it was your clever idea of adding the numbers. I sure would have bought them .

Definitely was the numbers or maybe that they were so loved that someone took the time to show them some. I swear that you two could make a dog poop pile look cute!

I think it was the makeover - made people see their usefullness.

What cool mugs. Everything looks better with numbers on it. I've been trying to snatch up things like this to do the same thing.

Hope you had a nice Easter weekend. See you Wednesday.

Perhaps a little of both....it was their time, but those numbers seem to be all over these days!

What a simple change to the mugs, but oh, the impact! Just the perfect addition.

Will you do this wherever you live ?
I imagine you at the flea market here, I imagine Me at the flea market here, doing some of the things you have shown on this blog .. inspiring me.
Love the mugs.. oh, and thanks to you ... we have to have some painting done, thanks to those leaks... so instead of going with colors, we ( I ) decided that ivory, cream and taupe are my new color choices , with shiny white white trim.
chau ! hasta luego !!
